HARDWOOD INFORMATION
The hardwood provided in our Giant Nets is generally a mixture of Beech, Birch, Alder & Sycamore. These species are specially selected due to their long, hot burning nature and affordable price point.

LARCH INFORMATION
Larch is an economy firewood. It is the hardest softwood available and has the longest, hottest burn-time (when compared to other softwoods). Larch can spark so we recommend an enclosed burner for this firewood.

ABOUT BIRCH
BIRCH is a popular choice due to its convenience, efficiency, and pleasant burning characteristics. It is grown in abundance so has good affordability and it's heat output make it a favourite among those who appreciate the comfort and ambiance of a wood-burning fire. Birch is easy to light, produces a lovely flame and is a very popular choice throughout Europe.

ABOUT OAK
Oak firewood produces a high heat of around 4.5kwph heat when burned, in fact Oak is one of the hottest burning firewood's available to the UK.

AROMATICALLY PLEASING
Oak wood emits a pleasant aroma adding to the cosy ambiance of a fire. It's distinctive scent can enhance the overall experience of sitting by a fire as it crackles of an evening.

Our Island Firewood Delivery service is restricted to the mainland of the stated Islands, we can deliver elsewhere by arrangement. Please contact us to enquire.

Your order is sent on a pallet which is cumbersome & heavy. As such there are some delivery limitations that our courier company request from our customers. Please bear these in mind when placing an order.

DELIVERY TIMESCALES
Due to the nature of shipping & local Island delivery we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date however we have been assured most of our deliveries will arrive at your door within 7 working days of dispatch.

We cannot guarantee this, especially in peak season so we recommend ordering early & in good time.

DELIVERY COST
The pricing on the site is fully inclusive of tax & delivery.

GROUND CONDITIONS AT DELIVERY AREA
An area an 18 tonne lorry can easily manoeuvre (including turning) and a flat, concrete, slab or tarmac area to deposit the pallet onto is essential. Please ensure there are no weight limits to bridges or overhead obstructions on the drivers route.

PLEASE ANTICIPATE THAT DELIVERY IS TO KERBSIDE ONLY
Our Courier will deposit their delivery to the kerbside of your address. If driver can wheel your delivery into your garden then this may be a possibility, however THIS IS NOT TO BE EXPECTED.

To Recap: Can Your Road fit a bin lorry (and can it turn ok), is there no weight limits to bridges or overhead obstructions and do you have a concrete / tarmac area close to your property you can have the wood placed? If so then you are green for go!
